Spring Job Fair

Join Goodwill Workforce Connection Center, in partnership with the Greenfield Public Library, at our Spring Job Fair. This is your opportunity to engage with companies that have a wide variety of job openings. Twelve companies will be at the Job Fair: Aurora Healthcare, BMO Bank, Carlisle Interconnect Technologies, Dicks Sporting Goods, Harbour Village, Landmark Credit Union, MOD Pizza, Red Robbin Gourmet Burgers and Brews, S & C Electric, Saz's Hospitality Group, Steinhafels, and Thrive Foods. Write Club: A Club for Writers

This peer-supported writing group will provide experienced and novice writers the chance to discuss the craft of writing, peer remove each other’s work, and celebrate one of our favorite pastimes. Adult Crafts

April 25 & May 2: Pressed Flower Votive Candleholder- Decorate a votive candleholder with pressed flowers. Registration is now open. Click here to sign up for one session.

Adult Take and Make Craft Kits

Second Thursday of the Month, 6 PM

Once a month we will release a kit available for pickup at the Circulations Desk. There is no reservation needed, just come pick up your supplies and get crafting! Instructions and a list of necessary materials will be provided with the kits.

Attention Job Seekers: Looking for a job can be a job in and of itself. Annette DiZinno from The Goodwill Workforce Connection Center will be onsite to help you learn and navigate this process. This open time (with both an afternoon and evening session each month) is for any job seeker, young, old or somewhere in between. Annette will share strategies and tips that have been gleaned over the years from working with employers and recruiters. Come with your questions and concerns and she will do her best to offer direction and practical advice as you move forward in a casual setting.

Tonight I Learned…: An Interesting and Educational Speaking Series

Sheepshead Night

Second Tuesday of the Month, 6:00-7:45 PM May 14 We have heard that the Sheepshead playing community is alive and well here in Greenfield, so we are now offering another chance for these players and newcomers to gather at our library to enjoy the beloved card game. Open to all experience levels!

Jigsaw Puzzle Exchange

A lot of puzzles are completed once, put away, and are never used again. Now you can get the joy of experiencing a new puzzle without having to buy one! Starting in January, Greenfield Public Library will host an ongoing puzzle exchange spot where you can donate an old puzzle or take a new one home with you.

Gardening Workshops

June 6 & July 11, 6:30-7:30 PM
Come and learn about topics pertinent to a healthy garden and landscape on your property. These workshops will be a valuable resource for those participating in our Seed Library. Attendees are also welcome to talk to other gardeners, ask questions, and swap plants!

GPL Seed Library

Available While Supplies Last
Do you love gardening and seeing your plants grow over the course of the season until they are ready to harvest? Are you eco-minded and want to help sustain our ecosystem?  We have thousands of seeds for native Wisconsin plants and heirloom fruits, veggies, and herbs, all of which are available for free to our community, free to our community and helpful resources. Stop into the library today!  Please note seeds are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and may not be available during the entire growing season.

Jigsaw Puzzle Team Competition

Saturday, June 22, 11:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Grab some friends and come down to GPL for some intense jigsaw puzzling action. Eight teams will be squaring off to complete a 750-piece puzzle before time runs out. The first team to finish will receive Game Store Barrister gift cards and the coveted “Missing Piece” trophy. Limber up those fingers and sharpen those eyes: jigsaw puzzling just became REAL! Registration is REQUIRED. Only eight team spots (of no more than four puzzlers) are available. Register with Phil at phils@greenfieldwi.us to sign-up. Registration opens June 1.

Jigsaw Puzzle League (GPL-JPL)

June 1 – August 31
Can’t get enough jigsaw puzzling action?!? How about a league?!? Create a team of no more than four puzzlers and take on three 500-piece puzzles that must be completed onsite between June 1 and August 31. Want to do them all in the first three days of June?!? Go for it! Want to space it out? Awesome! We will time you, and the team with the lowest combined time will win the grand prize! Adult Take and Make Craft Kits NEW!!!!

Second Thursday of the Month at 6:00 PM

Available on the second Thursday of each month at 6 pm, each kit contains supplies and instructions to complete a craft.  Seven-five kits are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Kits are limited to two per person/household.  No registration is required.

Tiny Art Show

Display your artistic talents in our Tiny Art Show! Starting Thursday, May 30, register online here to pick up a tiny art kit containing everything you’ll need to create your own mini-masterpiece. Kits include a 3”x3” canvas, acrylic paint, and brushes and will be available starting Thursday, June 6.  Participants will be notified via email when kits are ready to be picked up. Return your completed art to be displayed at the library by Friday, June 28. The tiny art will be on exhibit for the month of July. Artists can pick up art at the conclusion of the Tiny Art Show on Friday, August 2. Open to anyone 13 years and older.

A night out with the Milwaukee Milkmen and Your Library

Support the Greenfield Public Library and attend a Milwaukee Milkman baseball game!  This family-friendly, “fun” raising event includes free parking and is an “udderly” good time!  A portion of each ticket sold through this link will be donated to the library for programming and other game day activities.
