Spring Programs

Mini Prom Dance Party

Saturday, May 4, 1:00-2:30 PM

Kids 8 and under (and their grown-ups) are invited to our first mini prom! There will be dancing, snacks, activities, and a photo booth. Fancy dance party attire is encouraged, but not required.

Lego Club

Tuesdays, 6:00-7:00 PM

May 7

Kids of all ages are welcome to join LEGO Club! We’ll have a theme or challenge, build our creations, and display our creations in the Children’s Library. LEGOs will be provided.

Tween Munch & Make [Ages 8-12]

Second Wednesday of the Month, 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM
May 8

Do you love snacks? Do you love crafts? Join us for Tween Munch & Make. All supplies will be provided.

Adventures in the Children’s Library

Stop by the Children’s Library every month and participate in do-it-yourself scavenger hunts, puzzles, and other games. We’ll have a new activity every month for children to enjoy!

Summer Programs

Summer Reading Challenges

June 1 – August 3
Book lovers of all ages can participate in our Summer Reading Challenge. Sign up and log your progress at greenfieldlibrary.beanstack.org or pick up a reading log at the Adult Reference Desk or Children’s Desk. Read at least 15 minutes a day, five days a week, to earn an entry (one per week) into our grand prize drawings. All participants will receive a water bottle at their first check-in and stickers to decorate their water bottle at each weekly check-in.

LEGO Club

Mondays, 1:30-2:30 PM

June 10 – July 29

Kids of all ages are welcome to join LEGO Club! We’ll have a theme or challenge, build our creations, and display them in the Children’s Library. LEGOs will be provided.

Kid Crafts to Go (virtual program using Facebook)

Wednesdays, 1:30–2:30 PM

Each week, the materials for two new crafts will be available for pickup at the Children's Desk. Instructions will be posted on our Facebook page on Wednesdays at 1:30 PM. Videos will stay up so kids can get crafting when ready. Registration is required through the Facebook event link online here. Registration will open one week in advance.

Kids Anime Club [ages 8-11]

Third Tuesday of the Month, 3:00-4:00 PM

June 18 & July 16
Calling all young anime fans! Come to the library once a month to watch anime on our big screen, make anime-themed crafts, and enjoy Japanese snacks. Registration is encouraged but not required. Register here.

Acting out with Mr. Mark NEW!!!! (best suited for kids ages 7-10)

Thursday, 3:30-4:30 PM

June 13-July 18 (no program July 4)

Calling all young thespians between the ages of seven and ten. Join us at the library to select and perform a fun, one-act play! Parents this is a way for your kiddos to keep up their reading skills over the summer and make new friends. Program takes place in the Community Room. There will be performance of the play on July 18. 

Summer Reading Kick-Off Carnival

Bluey Blast

Dragon Training Academy

Time traveler Brock Barnabas will teach us how to train dragons! Stick around for a meet-and-greet and photos with Brock’s favorite animatronic dragon.

Game Show Gurus

Thursday, June 27, 6:00-7:00 PM

Participate in a real, live game show! This interactive, all-ages event will feature challenges, trivia, and friendly competition.

Mark Hayward, Comedy Yo-Yo Guy

Tuesday, July 16, 6:00-7:00 PM

Bring the whole family for a yo-yo, juggling, and comedy extravaganza, hosted by Mark Hayward! After the show, Mark will have affordable yo-yos available for sale.

French 101

Thursday, July 18, 5:00-6:00 PM
Ever thought about learning French or teaching it to your kids? Check out this fun basic French language workshop suitable for curious learners of all ages. You will be introduced to fun words and useful simple phrases to incorporate French culture into your life. Participants will also be introduced to Transparent Language Online, a free language resource from the library!

Fairytale Birthday Company Princess Party

Princesses (and princes!) of all ages are invited to a special afternoon with Fairytale Birthday Company! Two princesses from your favorite tales will sing songs, tell stories, and take photos with us.

PAW Patrol Party

End of Summer Bubble Party

A night out with the Milwaukee Milkmen and Your Library

Support the Greenfield Public Library and attend a Milwaukee Milkman baseball game!  This family-friendly, “fun” raising event includes free parking and is an “udderly” good time!  A portion of each ticket sold through this link will be donated to the library for programming and other game day activities. See you there for an affordable evening of family entertainment!
